Securing Skills: Earning a Certificate in Generative AI
I’m proud to share that I’ve recently added a new feather to my cap — a certificate in Generative AI. This credential, a joint offering by industry giants Microsoft and LinkedIn, represents a significant milestone in my ongoing journey of learning and exploration in the realm of artificial intelligence.
The Rigorous Learning Experience
The course was a comprehensive one, spanning approximately four hours of intensive learning. It covered a wide range of topics, providing a deep dive into the fascinating world of Generative AI. The culmination of the course was a timed quiz, a rigorous test of the knowledge and skills I had acquired. Comprising 40 questions, the quiz required a minimum score of 70 percent to pass. The challenge of achieving this score added a layer of rigor to the learning experience, pushing me to fully grasp and internalize the course material.
The Joy of Achievement
Earning the certificate was a moment of great satisfaction and pride. It was a tangible testament to the hours of research and study I had invested, a symbol of the knowledge I had gained. However, I believe that learning is a continuous process, and this certificate is just one step in my ongoing journey.
Learning Beyond the Classroom: Hands-on Experience with AI
While the course provided a solid foundation, the bulk of my expertise in AI has been honed through hands-on experimentation within my artistic workflow. This practical experience, gained through trial and error, has been invaluable. It has allowed me to understand the nuances of AI, to see its potential and limitations, and to learn how to effectively integrate it into my work.
The Evolution into a “Prompt Engineer”
Today, I find that the title of “Prompt Engineer” aptly describes much of my work. This role involves using AI as a tool to enhance and streamline various processes, adding a new dimension to my craft. Even tasks that were once performed without AI now incorporate elements of it, enhancing efficiency and adding a unique touch.
